Okay. See, part of the allure of vampires for me is the hidden nature. They could be walking around a crowd of people, and no one would know. Biding their times, talking their prey, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Being immortal, they can afford to take their time to maneuver their would be victim into the perfect position, the perfect moment.

And then They strike. Just what they need, not a drop more. And then they slip away, and no one has to know. Did that scare you a little bit, or did you? You liked that, didn't you?

Okay. Good. Good to know. Oh, and As for the hypnosis part, yeah, I would have done it differently too. I mean, don't get me wrong.

There's nothing quite like having someone get lost deep inside your eyes, but That's a tad obvious, isn't it? There are subtler ways of doing it. You can just have a conversation with the right person. The right priming can work just as well. See, when someone is listening intently to someone telling a story, their attention is already focused, fixated on the Object.

They're already halfway there. In those vampire stories, I like to read. The fall doesn't happen all at once. It's slow. It's insidious.

It happens before they realize it's happening. It's just good storytelling, really. In the end, it's all the same thing Holding someone's wrapped undivided attention and, You know, maybe that's why vampires are so hypnotic Because they come from books and folklore, they're stories and since We know that stories are hypnotic and storytellers are hypnotic. Then vampires Are also hypnotic. And you know that some readers want vampires in their stories.

But these powerful alluring hypnotic creatures and that expectation is Tation's what makes them powerful, alluring, hypnotic. And so the storyteller can just keep talking and they can just keep listening and keep focusing on the story and before they know it, they can realize they've stopped not paying attention to the words, and they stop paying attention to how much the words are affecting them. That's right. They're just sitting there listening to your story, and they can just let themselves forget to notice whatever else is going on. And they can just let themselves continue to listen and grow more and more absorbed for the story.

And if we added vampire powers, that now that would even make it work even better, even faster, even deeper, wouldn't it? Maybe the vampire a very compelling voice, just like mine. And that makes their words even more hypnotic than they would normally be. Maybe they'll find themselves hanging on every Little word, every little syllable. Unable to focus on anything else for that moment.

Or abs. It's just so very compelling that they don't want to focus on anything else right now. And as you know, it's especially effective when they want to be hypnotized, when they want to let themselves fall into that familiar feeling that they know so well, that they want to experience in this moment. It works better than they've already been imagining that feeling. That wonderful feeling of coming of vampires thrall.

Of letting themselves be captivated, controlled. And maybe they noticed they've been blinking at half speed the whole time. Or maybe they noticed that they haven't been noticing it, haven't been paying attention to things that aren't in the story, Right. Letting everything else just be unimportant for a while, and they still look to all the world and all the surrounding people that they've just forgotten about. Like, they're Nice.

They just wanna let themselves be absorbed. They might wanna let it happen fast or slow, over time or all at once. But the foregone conclusion is that they won't end up completely caught Transfixed by the vampires words And before long, they realize that they haven't really been doing anything else for a while. They've been so transfixed so compelled by the vampire's hypnotic voice. They find they can't really do anything other than falling deeper and deeper into their control, deeper into their voice.

And Maybe that's the moment they realize they've completely fallen to the vampire spell. And you can go ahead and give me a small nod to show that you understand and that you're still enjoying the story. That's right. Not for me. And now they're just sitting here at the table completely spellbound.

Their head's so fuzzy, their face's so slack, their gaze's so empty. And the vampire can do what it wants with them. Within reason, of course. They're still aware they're in a public space, but otherwise, it's just so much easier to deal with the vampire. So it's not I caught under the spell.

Like, what if I was to say their hand, their right hand, or their left, it doesn't really matter. If I were to say their hands float up all on its own while they're still sitting here, fixed on my words, fixating on my gaze, gazing mindlessly. It would just float up and stretch out towards me. That's right, because they're so spelled out by now that their body just complies automatically without thinking. And if I were to take the hand and lead them some required edges like this, They totally follow me without question, just totally focused on me and only me.

And they can just allow me to lead them to safety, to a nice little corner here. There we though, easily making sure that they don't bump into anything. Perfectly safe, yet perfectly enthralled. Now that we're alone, they can just be totally focused on me again, looking deep into my eyes as Rai falling deeper with every word, but nodding again now to show me that you're still okay with us and want me to continue. Good.

And they may be wondering, just like you might actually be wondering now, whether this could actually be real, trying to wrack your brain, your foggy, and sluggish mind, trying to remember whether you've seen me in daylight or in a mirror, whether that necklace of mine is made of silver or not. But you're so foggy and focused and fixated that the thought slips away. It doesn't matter now. I'm just gonna tell you. You see, I'm what's known as a consentialist.

I prefer feeding from people who consent to what I'm doing to them. Even better if they love it, and you and I both know just how You're going to love this, but I'm gonna need your approval one final time. I'm gonna bite you now. It won't hurt. In fact, it'll feel really, really good.
