I'm, out in the park today because I had a new puppy recently, and training at home is going pretty well. It's been a few weeks, and my little puppies come a long way, and that's partly why I've been so busy. But yeah. You know, it's, it's very important with puppies to train out of the house as much as in so they don't end up with, like, 2 totally different sets of behaviors. Like, 1 around you and then another around strangers.
So that's what we're doing today. Just, the same old commands and stuff that we've been doing at home, but, you know, out and about with plenty of distractions so we can work on keeping it nice and focused on me. Isn't that right, Wait. Here. Sit pretty for me.
Sit pretty. Good puppy. Gets you in a tree. I actually should have had these out already. Puppies have such a short attention span.
So you Need to reward them right away so they immediately tie the treat to whatever they just did to Erna. Okay, puppy. One more time. Sit pretty. Sit pretty.
Good puppy. Here you go. That's right. Eat it out of my hand. So, yeah, that's what I'm doing today.
Just in case you're at all curious what I get up to outside of GWA because, you know, I'm sure that's what you're all dying to hear right now. But like I said, I have tons of hot content coming soon. I've been writing a lot, so there are Plenty of scrivs just aching to be read, and, I will make time to do that soon. Anyway, It's, just a perfect day to be out doing this. Sky is clear and sun is bright, and we're in a nice bit of shade, and I don't know what's in the air today, but all the colors are just a puff thing.
And there's, like, a 1000000 shades of green going on, and there's this I don't know. I wouldn't call it a lake. I wouldn't call the pond, but, you know, a nice big whatever that's all sorts of blues and grays, and the sun is glinting off all the little ripples. And, there's kind of a perfect showing of citizenry out and about. You know?
Not too crowded or overrun, but there's a good number of people about. A couple joggers, a bunch of people Just walking the trails. A couple folks are eating under trees. We're getting a few funny looks. Not sure what that's about.
But puppy's behaving itself pretty well so far. It's kind of late in watching everyone pass, and it does seem bit on edge. You need a missile. Here, puppy. Let's do another trick.
Roll over. That's it. Good puppy. Here you go. That's it.
Eat that right on up, and let me rub that belly. Okay. Now sit for me. Good Good puppy. Here you go.
One more. It's doing pretty well for its 1st time in public. Like I said, we've pretty much been training at home, but we did have a friend of mine over the other day, you know, just to get used to strangers, both in general and in the house. And, I guess it was pretty skittish at first, but, well, my friend, she's totally a puppy person. So, yeah, she had my little puppy eating out of her palm and doing all sorts of tricks in no time.
Isn't that right, sweetie? You love your aunt Jess now. You curled right up on her lap and just let her pet you for hours Once we were all done playing with you and training you, and and then you started whining so bad once she had a mule. Sit pretty again. Good puppy.
And stay like that. Just a second, and let me stuff this tree right into that cute Little mouth. So, yeah. That's it. Boring old me just checking in and letting you all know I love you and miss you, and I'll be pumping out more naughty stuff very, very soon.
But, in the meantime, I think puppy's done pretty well so far, so I won't push our luck. And we are getting a lot of funny stares, so it might be time to get a move on. We'll try for longer next time. Although on the way from the car, I let my little puppy walk like normal, so as if it's people part of the way. But Now on the way back, we'll see how well it does walking like a dog in front of everyone.
